Iona: What You Need To Know About The Tar Heels Next Opponent
The Iona Gael’s aren’t beating North Carolina and I don’t just say that because they’re terrible at basketball. Iona will never beat UNC strictly based on principal. Iona is so small they still have a principal. This school is private not because they don’t receive state funding, it is private because conversations that happen there are amongst such a small group of people that they are still considered private on a technicality. By the way I have an aunt in Minnesota who is also named Gale. She lives by the Mall of America and I don’t think she likes sports.
Now, do I want to roast Luke Maye for looking like their mascot?
Yes I do.
But am I going to do that? Not at this time.
I never want to go to far in on these cinderella story type schools because obviously they had a tremendous year just getting to this point. And congratulations to them. But as far as ending the Tar Heels season in the first round, it’s not going to happen. I will be surprised if they dunk in warm ups. Carolina by double digits. See you in the round of 32.
